Fabric choices:

I create my scarves with 8mm silk chiffon or 8mm Habotai (also called China Silk.)  Silk Chiffon is transparent and filmy, allowing the colors and patterns of underlying layers to subtly show through.  Habotai silk is opaque with a soft shiny surface and a light hand that drapes beautifully. Both fabrics show off the dyes brilliantly. These scarves may be dry cleaned or hand washed in gentle lukewarm suds, line dried and steam ironed. After rinsing do not wring out, just gently squeeze out excess water and hang to drip dry. The dyes will never run or fade. Your silk scarf will develop even more drape and softness with repeated use.
